$27 million on concerts paid by the Georgian government
The Georgian government allocated $27 million on concerts at the Black Sea Arena concert hall, near Batumi, as well as in Tbilisi for the two-year “Starring Georgia” campaign, starting in 2023. Among the invited bands are Imagine Dragons, The Killers, Nile Rodgers & Chic.
Ordinary taxpayers money will be used to subsidize concerts for richer parts of the society who can afford to go the events.
