Draped poetry - or junk art?
“The idea is that a child could have done it,” said the artist about the main attraction, The Octopus, in the art work Draped Poetry.
The work is in Paradisparken in Borlänge and consists of 13 sculptures in total. It is not very easy to work out that they are art, as they look like abandoned rubbish. This is the result of a partnership between the local council, the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning and Public Art Agency Sweden, using more than SEK 1.7 million of taxpayers’ money.
